Dairy Products

Spectra Star XL from Unity Scientific is really good news for the analysis of dairy products.

The sample is placed in a sample holder/Petri dish on top of the instrument. It is no longer necessary to make sure you have a specific height and an even surface, as the sample is analyzed from below, where an even "surface" is always created due to gravity.

The sample is rotated so that the entire sample is analyzed.
The instrument is very flexible so that you can use a smaller sample cup for homogeneous samples and a larger one - up to 13 cm in diameter - for inhomogeneous samples - for instance yogurt containing fruit pieces.

The CPU is build into the unit, and a Touch-Screen makes it very easy to use, and to analyze different kind of samples, and to export information to your network or to an Excel spread sheet etc.

From the outside the LactoScope FTIR Advance looks like an FT 120.

OK, it is red, and the pipette is on the left side, but apart from that you may think it were a copy.
But it is not!

First of all it has a different and very rugged interferometer, which makes any "FTIR Equalizer" superfluous.

Secondly, commodity chemicals are used for cleaning and zero setting - when you don't have to use chemicals bearing monopoly prices, you pay only one third of the price for these two routines. And as mentioned over and above that: No "FTIR Equlalizer"…

Thirdly, the LactoScope FTIR Advanced has proven in tests to be better at handling high viscous samples and with a higher accuracy.

In addition all calibrations are free of charge, apart from FPD, and the software is easy and intuitive to use, and workable from a touch screen, which means that all, who have tried, have found it unproblematic to go directly from an FT 120 to a LactoScope FTIR Advanced.

LactoScope FTIR Advanced Optimized Accuracy with Unity
The so called "Wish Bone" Interferometer is the secret behind this stable instrument, which handles  high viscous products so much better.
The mirrors are mounted on the same "Wish Bone" which makes the interferometer very stable.

Being exactly between 1,400-2.500 nm we have secured all the necessary information from the spectrum regarding food, without compromising the cost of production. That is why Unity's Spectrastar is the best price/quality offer, and has the best accuracy.
